The Cove

So today I watched this documentary called "The Cove"
It was the most powerful documentary that I have ever seen!

It talks about how in Taiji, Japan they are killing THOUSANDS of Dolphins yearly.
The go out into the ocean on boats, and since dolphins are extremely sensitive to sound, the put these poles in the water and bang on them so it scares the dolphins, and they basically run for their lives and get drawn near this secret cove in the cliffs. They put nets in the water so they are trapped. Then they have dolphin trainers from local type "sea worlds" come and pick out the dolphins they want to use and train... then ALL of the dolphins the trainers don't want, the Japanese KILL them!
Ric O'Barry who was originally the dolphin trainer for the original show "Flipper." The dolphin from the show flipper, committed suicide in his arms after about 10 years, ever since then he has changed his whole view on Dolphin Captivity. So him and a crew set out to expose what these men are doing! They hide cameras under water and in the rocks.
You and can the dolphins in the water, and then in 1 split second the sounds are gone, and the entire water goes neon RED!
Also with the dolphins that are not used for shows, and killed, they use the meat and sell it at local places in Japan, the meat they are selling has MERCURY in it! Mercury is one of the most toxic thing that a person can consume!

This by far was the most traumatic thing I have ever seen!
I am completely against Sea Worlds, and Zoo's! ANYTHING that has to do with animal cruelty! I no longer support them!
