I never knew how much until one of my best friends

put in her mission papers
got her call

leaves tomorrow
I have known Jenessa since our freshman year in high school.
so that's what...
7 years.
When I think back on all of my high school memories, she is in every single one.
Throughout high school and after, friendships fall apart and you gain new ones,
her making fun of me for dating someone my freshman year
but mine and her friendship always stayed.
even after not hanging out for the good first year of college we met up during summer and it was like
that first year of college never happened.
Our friendship was and has stayed the same

she always had my back if something went wrong.
she was there for me through my first heart break and me for her

going to Einsteins Bagels in the morning instead of physics.

being co-captains for all 4 years of volleyball

me cheating off of her
being in yearbook with each other

I don't know what I would have done through high school without her
Through everything that we have been through, J has always had my side.

and I mean everything
and after all of knowing my crazy life she is still my best friend and I love her for that!
for the next 18 months
she will be serving in Lima, Peru as

It's going to be so weird not being able to text her randomly, call her
go over to her house, play night games, eat her AMAZING oreo cookies... weird.
But
She is going to be a great missionary.
She will do so many great things for the people in Peru.
Words cannot describe how excited I am for her.
