As I'm sitting here in Starbucks drinking my coffee I decided to take a look at the good ol' blog, and guess what? It has been exactly a year since I last blogged. Whoa. But I mean, lets be honest... I don't even know anyone who reads it, my life isn't that exciting. haha But none the less I thought why not write about what's happened in my life the last year and who knows, maybe more has happened than I thought. Last I wrote, Junior, Sampson and Kierynn has just graduated high school, my Kaohelauli'i family was visiting us for the summer and Mallory left on her mission. So lets see where we are now and how we got here...
August 2015: Jaida and I had our birthdays, I turned 23 and Jaida turned 11. I'm pretty sure August was the month I went with Savannah to see Tori Kelly in concert. (which was amazing by the way, no matter what month it happened). School started back up towards the end of August as well. Over the summer I helped with the Provo High Beginners Skills Volleyball Camp like I do every year and Jaida, Pa'ia and Nani all participated and it was so much fun! Sometime around this month as well we found out that our Hawaiian Aiiga was going to move here permanently! *can I get a holla!*
Volleyball Camp at Provo High with these 3

October 2015- January 2016: A lot of holidays during this time period, Halloween (my favorite holiday) was so much fun, I was a leopard (along with every other girl in the Provo/Orem area). Dads birthday was in November, and also Thanksgiving, yumm. Christmas obviously. New Years Eve and New Years Day... boy was that a night to remember. During this time I also had a little fling with a guy... nothing special, just a fun time. I also finished my 2nd semester in the Elementary Education program during this time as well, and started my 3rd semester beginning of January.
End of Semester 2 with the best cohort
February 2016: Towards the beginning/middle of February I started dating a boy (not the same one as the fling previously mentioned). February was a lot of fun and full of memories.
March 2016: My brother left for his mission! Where to you ask? North Lima Peru! Don't even worry because dropping him off was.... well, it was hell. By the grace of God we got there 2 hours before his flight was supposed to leave and during about the 1st hour of getting everything worked out his flight got changed TWICE!! And he ended up leaving about an hour before the original flight. So we literally had about 5 min to say bye to him. That was crazy! He has now been out for 2 months and 3 days and is doing really well! My cousin Sampson also left on his mission for Texas! He's doing good as well, and I love getting his emails every week!
At the airport taking our 5 min to say goodbye
April 2016: Well, that relationship ended (the one that started in February). It was great while it lasted but didn't work out, it is/was a rough time... still is sometimes. But on the bright side I finished my 3rd semester in the program at the end of April, which means we all only have ONE semester left! Hallelujah! It is student teaching/internshipping (is that a word?) this fall and I am so excited!
This is the best cohort out there! 3 down 1 to go!
May 2016: Had a few more cousins graduate from high school, go fam! I went to Idaho with my friends and we stayed at the family house in Swan Valley which was a total blast! Can I tell you that a little get away was so much needed! I seriously was going to explode if I couldn't get out of Utah for at least a day!
And now we are into June, June 1st to be exact and I'm so excited for summer and what it's going to bring. Cheers to anyone who reads this and here's to the next time I post, which who knows when that will be.
